Nectar and Chill

These three bumblebees called it a day in the front yard at 8pm last night. With multiple lavender plants now blooming around a large catmint that’s brought bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds since spring, this is the most binge-worthy spot in the yard. So yeah, why leave?

They were all in the same spots at 8am this morning, even though many other bees were already up and eating. Only one had repositioned itself (below), so props to the one that hung upside down all night.
