While looking for lady beetles I saw a bumblebee hanging out in the spearmint plant. A spider’s catch, it was wrapped up and strung between leaves. Even more interesting than its suspended state was its tongue, fully extended. If you’ve never seen a bumblebee tongue, it’s the black thing with the yellow tip, longer than it’s legs. When I went out later, for more photos, the garden spider was there, guarding it’s catch.
